Over the past five years, GRIP Outreach For Youth (GRIP) has built a staff filled with an arsenal of creative leaders in urban ministry who are instrumental in impacting culture for Christ. Jackie Hill-Perry, Brian Dye, Alert312, and Humble Beast are just a few names that you might recognize.

Jackie Hill-Perry is a spoken word artist whose art has been featured on nationwide platforms such as P4CM, The Gospel Coalition, Verge, and The Resurgence. Brian Dye is the founder of The Legacy Conference, an urban 3-day discipleship training conference held annually in Chicago. And Alert312 along with Jackie Hill-Perry, are artists signed to the Humble Beast label making them amongst the top Christian MC’s in Chicago.

Joe Solomon is now added to this juggernaut Chicago-based ministry. When asked why he accepted the position at GRIP, with a smile on his face he responded, “Brian [Dye] pretty much told me I’m moving to Chicago.” Joe is a poet, musician, comedian, host of chaseGodtv, and is now using his gifts to mobilize God’s people to break the fatherless cycle through Christ-centered Life-on-Life relationships.

Joe has been impacting how young people apply the Gospel in their lives through chaseGodtv as he addresses areas such as being a Christian on a college campus, dating, overcoming pornography, prayer, and other Christian issues. He is committed to approaching every topic with the Gospel of Christ being the solution to all and he’ll now continue to do just that in Chicago. “I love what GRIP does, their zeal for making disciples, and helping the city.”
