Volunteer Director of Communications

RAAN has an open volunteer position! We are looking for someone preferably with a communications or business (or related though not an absolute requirement) degree to primarily maintain social media presence and newsletters. If interested, please submit your resume and/or references online below. Ideally the volunteer would be able to spend 4 hours per week.

SUMMARY

Responsible for managing the public relations aspect within RAAN. Builds and sustains the reputation of RAAN for quality, reliability and satisfaction. Writes and delivers press releases and handles most communication sent to the public.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage RAAN brand and reputation in a way that's God honoring and people loving.
• Develop internal publications such as newsletters and email announcements.
• Manage social media accounts by composing creative posts to drive followers to our content and increase our online presence.
• Create and launch press releases and marketing campaigns.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Contact members of the media to set up interviews with co-founders.
• Get RAAN featured on other likeminded websites.
• Drive RAAN strategy and message development, pitch and announcement strategies.
• Determines communications strategy and execute programs to deliver communications objectives throughout RAAN.
